Nigredo. Three fires burning, each at its own pace. Flames cleansing through decomposition. A spiral of Phi to guide us through a dark night of the soul. Creation from the blackest of black times three. The necessary dissolution before any transformation. Prima materia broken down in the fire of the vessel, undone before it could become. Every Great Work began here.
Enter the Shadow Coven — Nigredo. A 3U Eurorack module built from three Arp Of Darkness modules running in parallel, designed to do the same.
Three buffers independently running side by side. Feed each one a phrase: a handful of notes. Each fractures it in its own way. Six playback modes, six buffer lengths, Golden Ratio traversals stepping through φ-based intervals that never quite repeat and yet feel musically alive. Fibonacci would grin. Three Remix cycles reshuffling on their own schedules. What came in as a melody leaves as three parallel buffer sequences, each taking you somewhere new.
It's a dissolution engine.

Each module is fully independent. Three clock inputs, three CV outputs, three separate voices, all mounted in a custom bracket that fits into a single 3U slot at a true 26HP. No overhang. No wasted space. A daisy-chain power harness lets all three share a single bus board slot, drawing a combined 120mA on +12V.
Flexible by design
The Nigredo manifests in 3U, but it isn't imprisoned there. Each Arp Of Darkness within is a standard 1U Intellijel-format Nocturne Alchemy Platform module, and can be pulled out of the bracket at any time to live in a 1U row on its own. Take one to a smaller case for travel. Rearrange the three vertically in the bracket (top, middle, bottom) to match your patching flow. Swap a panel finish. Flash a different firmware and watch the vessel change. Reflash one Arp as a Shroud Of Turing and you have a two-Arp cascade with a generative shift register underneath. Reflash all three as Slight Of Hand and you have three keyboards where fire once burned. Any module in the Nocturne Alchemy Platform can slide into any bay of the Nigredo bracket, in any order, with any firmware you like. Your Coven, your ritual. Your choice...
The Vessel
Arp Of Darkness, thrice.
A buffer-based arpeggiator with a unique twist. Notes enter a shift-register-style buffer, then play back in six modes, including Golden Ratio, a φ-based traversal that feels both intentional and organic. Bridges the gap between chaos and musicality, and rewards a musician's imperfect memory with the illusion of randomness.
